Based at Sonoma County Airport (KSTS) in Santa Rosa, California, N325RX is an Airbus H135P3H operated by REACH Air Medical Services in partnership with Sonoma County Fire District.
Powered by two Pratt and Whitney 206B3 turbo-shaft engines generating 620 shaft-horsepower at take off, the aircraft has a top speed of 178 miles per hour and a working range of 395 miles. The multi-role aircraft is configured primarily for emergency medical and rescue services, but can be quickly converted for aerial firefighting with the addition of a 120 gallon Bambi Bucket. The crew consists of a pilot, a flight nurse, and a flight paramedic providing expedited delivery of critical care life support for patient transport. When configured in the firefighting role, a Sonoma County Fire District command officer will be on board to coordinate efforts with air and ground fire personnel.
